About St. John's
What makes a great school? Last year, St. John's faculty, staff, and board of trustees members completed an exhaustive study of outstanding independent schools across the country. We searched through lists of over one thousand independent schools; we individually researched over one hundred from those listed; we then logged over 3,000 miles personally visiting 23 outstanding independent schools across the United States.
From that research, we identified that great schools have a commitment to:

Adopting Jim Collins' model of "Good to Great," this year St. John's will strive to continually improve on already strong programs in academics, character, and community.
